TheInstitute.org News
On Saturday April 19th we hosted the first in a series of Special Saturdays called Family Constellations & Focalizing: Energy Psychologies for the 21st Century. The goal was to learn how to heal "stuck-ness" (systemic, energetic and/or emotional) from trauma and life events such as: Abuse &/or Neglect, Adoption trauma, Addictions Aftermath & Stage Two Recovery, Legacies of the Holocaust, war and/or displacement, & Serious or Catastrophic Illness & Loss. We used Bert Hellinger's Family Constellations to delve into the matrix of a newer energy psychology called Focalizing. Contemporary and ancient wisdoms leading us to deeper truths within were also experienced.
We are pleased to report that the workshop was a huge success. Dr. Michael Picucci opened by placing our Family Constellation work in a Focalizing context and Cristina Casanova and Jan Crawford did about seven very moving "constellations" with twenty participants. The participant response has been very affirmative with a big email buzz following the event and asking for more. One participant, Robbie Tucker wrote of her experience the following day in a workshop review (click bold to read).
The following day we had an Institute community planning meeting that was warm, invigorating and inspiring. We decided to plan some additional Special Saturday workshops (similar to above) for the fall and to also include a weekend retreat at The Garrison Institute to share more fully the benefits of the various somatic and energy psychologies. We also planted seeds for fund raising initiatives that will help continue to support this web site, provide seed money for workshops & retreats and to become financial supporters and partners with aligned organizations such as the Institute for Noetic Sciences, The Garrison Institute, and others who share our mission.

What exactly is Authentic Process Healing? |
For those of us who have primary addiction, if we are
to acheive wholeness and integration, we need to allow this reality to surface
and heal the wound. |
A "community" is defined as two or more people
who have shed their defensive "masks of composure" and agree to share
wisdom, struggles, joys and sorrows with each other, making each other's condition
their own. |
However we define the Higher Power, to reach it we
must come out from under a defense-driven isolation. |
Most of our models for relationships are from our families, which are more often than not dysfunctional, at least by present day standards. |
The healing of the internalized schism
between our sexual and spiritual energies is the most provocative topic and the
most intimidating task we can address. |
Trauma is a global phenomenon. It means being wounded. It means enduring an emotional shock that creates substantial and lasting damage to one's psychological and emotional development. |

"All of us are living in an era of such profound and hopeful change
that it is not an exaggeration to call it a renaissance. The word, of course,
means "rebirth."
What's being reborn is our sense of ourselves as spiritual beings, deeply connected
and open to one another and to something greater than ourselves.
These are exciting times, and whether that's a blessing or a curse is up to us.
The first step in realizing our potential may lie in recognizing what's going
on around us."
