Focalizing is a gentle and powerful body-based modality for healing from trauma, connecting to one's inner wisdom, and living with greater purpose.
It's an invaluable practice to have in your toolkit when supporting clients as a coach, therapist, intuitive practitioner, yoga teacher or any professional working in a helping field.
The Focalizing Practioner Course will help you expand your practice and your skillset with a practical 45-hour body-based modality to help yourself and others heal from trauma, connect to one's inner wisdom, and live with greater purpose.
This process helps with…;
People connect and develop a deeper relationship with their body's natural healing capacity.
It empowers them to get in touch and work with the gut feelings that signal when boundaries are being crossed.
It allows people to better learn their limits and develop appropriate resources to reset when feeling overwhelmed.
It offers a timeless roadmap to addressing the many ways that feeling chronically triggered, stuck, directionless, and unfulfilled goes back to unresolved trauma and the trappings of conditioned, repetitive thinking.
Is a powerful embodiment practice that to unlock a new ways of navigating life’s challenges
Creates a trauma-safe environment, ensuring that the container for the work is as resourceful and supportive as possible for what surfaces next
Helps participants discover and exponentially deepen their relationship with the innate intelligence of their body
Is both practical and profound
Simply put, when a person learns the language of the body, it frees them to show up in relationships, with their family and at work in a completely different way.
And because we can't help others without first supporting ourselves, this course is taught as a self-exploration and a practitioner training program combined into one. By the end, you may very well be using the material of this course in your own life *and* in support of others every single day (we know we do).
Who is the Course Best Suited For?
Our past participants, like you, already knew that supporting their clients was part of a deeper calling, and yet it felt like there was something missing. Their own innate wisdom told them there were more profound ways of working than with the mind alone.
They knew that in order to do that, they needed to expand their own knowledge and skills base in an environment that gave them real practical experience of what it is to be a practitioner working with trauma and the body.
This course is suitable for people working in a wide range of helping fields. The student body is most commonly made up of a mixture of coaches, therapist, yoga teachers, yoga therapists, bodyworks, energy healers and creatives.

A Comprehensive Program Since the 1990’s
Dr. Picucci was a pioneer of trauma-informed embodiment tools in the western world.
It is the culmination of over 30 years in the field of psychotherapy, addictions research and trauma healing as well as his own life's journey. Though Dr. Picucci synthesized the approach, it owes much of its foundation to other pioneers and their work in the field of healing and psychotherapy.
Some of Dr. Picucci's colleagues and inspiration are Dr. Peter Levine and the pillars of Somatic Experiencing, Dr. Eugene Gendlin and Focusing, and Dr. Randolph Stone and his Polarity Massage.
Since 2017, the Institute has proudly presented this program to hundreds of students both in the United States and internationally. Designed specifically for online learning, this program successfully teaches students from all experience levels how to confidently lead Focalizing sessions for others.
