Silenia Gil Rhoads

Silenia Gil Rhoads is a bilingual Family & Systemic Constellations Facilitator, a Focalizing Practitioner (English/Spanish), and founder of Sana Sana. She also offers Reiki (virtually, for humans and pets), Yoga and Ceremonial Cacao, which she mostly does in groups. Her belief is that each of us, with support, can remember what it is like to listen to our bodies, our intuition and our inner knowledge in order to heal, live joyfully and authentically. She also believes that there is much we do not yet understand about how we are able to connect, perceive and respond to each other and our environment here on Earth and beyond, and she finds this completely fascinating and exciting! Belonging, connection (and disconnection) to land and people, the experience of parenting/being parented, authentic communication, creativity, storytelling and writing are things that are dear to her heart at this stage of her life.

Silenia is based in the Philadelphia area of the United States. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela from a Venezuelan mother and Spanish father. Silenia immigrated to the United States at 6 years old and has lived in London, New York, North Carolina, the Dominican Republic, Seattle, and Philadelphia. This immigration has informed almost every moment of her life. Her extended family is now dispersed in Venezuela, Spain, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, France, and the United States, but they remain closely-knit, thanks to the lessons of their ancestors...and technology.

Silenia first began working with Family & Systemic Constellations for her own personal and generational healing. She became a facilitator through the European Institute for Systemic Education & Coaching in Brussels, Belgium. Soon after, Silenia studied Focalizing, a somatic practice that brings connection to the inner-knowing we carry in our body. Silenia became a certified Focalizing practitioner via the Focalizing Institute in New York.

Silenia holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University and a Masters in Education, Public Health from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has worked in health, wellness and education for over 30 years, with some beautiful pauses to birth and raise three children, and to open a bakery cafe with her husband John.
